چکیده

One of the fundamental problems in Bayesian statistics is approximation posterior distribution. Gibbs sampler and coordinate ascent variational inference are renownedly utilized techniques that rely on stochastic deterministic approximations. In this paper, we define sets densities frequently used inference. We shall be concerned with clarification two schemes from set-theoretical point view. This new way provides an alternative mechanism for analyzing endowed pedagogical insights.

Bayesian Inference on Multilocus Genotypic Effects Using a Gibbs Sampler

Simultaneous analysis of multiple genetic variants is an essential strategy for understanding genetic dissection of complex traits, focusing epistasis along with additive and dominance effects of individual genes. Although phenotypic variation for complex traits might be largely explained by epistasis, most analyses have excluded the possibility of epistasis, especially with lack of individual ...

Inference for Nonconjugate Bayesian Models Using the Gibbs Sampler

A Bayesian approach to modeling a rich class of nonconjugate problems is presented. An adaptive Monte Carlo integration technique known as the Gibbs sampler is proposed as a mechanism for implementing a conceptually and computationally simple solution in such a framework. The result is a general strategy for obtaining marginal posterior densities under changing specification of the model error ...

The Kernel Gibbs Sampler

We present an algorithm that samples the hypothesis space of kernel classifiers. Given a uniform prior over normalised weight vectors and a likelihood based on a model of label noise leads to a piecewise constant posterior that can be sampled by the kernel Gibbs sampler (KGS). The KGS is a Markov Chain Monte Carlo method that chooses a random direction in parameter space and samples from the re...

The Gibbs Centroid Sampler

The Gibbs Centroid Sampler is a software package designed for locating conserved elements in biopolymer sequences. The Gibbs Centroid Sampler reports a centroid alignment, i.e. an alignment that has the minimum total distance to the set of samples chosen from the a posteriori probability distribution of transcription factor binding-site alignments. In so doing, it garners information from the f...
